Finally, Eureka CA has its very own skatepark! Ever since I was younger and going to Eureka High, when I started skateboarding, I had always wised for Eureka to have its own skatepark. They did not even complete the Arcata Skatepark until my last year of high school, and that was the only park available, until now.
Since Opening Day in Late December of 2009, the Eureka Skatepark has been jammed pack with kids and skateboarders of all ages and experience levels.
The best time for me to catch any runs is at 10 o'clock in the morning when the kids have not come to the park yet. During the holidays was when it was very busy with the kids were on vacation from their school.
One unique thing about the Eureka Skatepark is that I have seen skateboarders from all over Humboldt County come and skate the park. I thought that it would only be the Eureka skaters skating this nice park, but we have skaters from all over the county and beyond.
The park is open mostly during the daylight hours and with summer quickly approaching, there will be more day light for us to keep on grinding!
